The nation of Avernum is rapidly approaching its final destiny, and you will be at the center of events. And yet, through a run of good (or bad) fortune, you find that you have a chance to discover and confront Avernum's enemies. You had a good, simple reason: Soldiers get food. In the midst of all of this chaos, you joined the army. Now chaos and hunger stalk this land, and none seem to be able to find a solution or a way to stop the Slith Horde. Sensing weakness, they struck, destroying much of a weakened Avernum and creating waves of hungry, desperate refugees. Then the denizens of the low tunnels, the savage, reptilian Slithzerikai, emerged. Almost overnight, the mushrooms Avernum needed to feed itself withered and died. Avernum's sole link to the surface world: a single magical portal, small and difficult to maintain.Īnd then the Blight came. Once a prison colony for rebels and thugs, it is now a wild frontier, full of adventurous souls looking for wealth, fame, and magical power. It is a nation of people living in an enormous warren of tunnels and caverns, far below the surface of the world. Travel into the strange subterranean land of Avernum, full of dungeons, labyrinths, and constant warfare. * Experience with previous Avernum games is completely unnecessary to enjoy Avernum 6.Īvernum is a world underground. Description The epic conclusion of the award-winning Avernum series. Unique races and settings make Avernum different from any RPG out there. * Rich game system with over 50 spells and battle disciplines, many character building options, and powerful secret skills to unlock. 20 hours in I've not had to retry any battle more than 3 times, and I wouldn't say I have a fantastically built party. I've narry had a problem so far in A6, save for entering the occasional battle with a complete lack of strategy. I'm no RPG powergamer by any means, often finding myself drafting unwinable parties in A-5. Many unusual enemies that will require clever tactics to defeat. I thought A6 was the most accessible Avernum yet. * A fascinating storyline, full of surprises, treachery, and epic battles. Hundreds of quests, dozens of dungeons and enemy fortresses, and multitudes of characters. Only you can help your people to get to safety before everything falls apart.Īs you wander the gigantic world of Avernum, you will experience: * An enormous world. A final set of disasters threatens to destroy your homeland in a spasm of famine and warfare. I should probably just make a guide out of this if one does not exist yet - it's causing way too much confusion for what really isn't complicated.Summary: The epic conclusion of the award-winning Avernum series. To play those in right order, play Avadon first, then Avadon 2 and then wait for them to release Avadon 3 in 1-2 years. After finishing that, play Avernum 4, 5 and 6 in the number-order.Īvadon is, to my knowledge, totally distinct from Avernum. To play the games in the chronological order, play Avernum: Escape from the Pit first, then Avernum 2: Crystal Souls and then wait for Avernum 3: The Ruined World to get released (in 2 or 3 years). I'm basing this on the fact that to my knowledge there are no Nephilim (from Avernum) in Avadon. There's an empire in both games, but the setting and the world is different. I don't think Avadon has any significant connection to Avernum. Decem1 Gday Watchers I thought Id compile some quick thoughts after completing my first RPG last night in some time actually, Avernum 3: Ruined World. 4, 5 and 6 had already been released on Steam. Avernum 6 is available for 28, and has a large, free demo as well. Then they remade 1 and 2 and released the remakes on Steam. Walkthrough Walkthrough by Matt P Avernum 6 FAQ/Walkthrough By MattP Email: Welcome to Avernum 6 Avernum 6 is the last installment in the unique and extremely fun Avernum series by Spiderweb Software. Then they remade them into Avernum 1, 2 and 3, then made a new trilogy of 4, 5 and 6 with that style. So either Avernum is Avadon part 2 - Avernum 1 and 2 are just not on Steam - Avernum is like Star Wars, last episodes first.
